ABSTRACT
The performance of the three-dimensional orthogonal woven composites (3DOWC) under high-velocity impact is studied in a combined experimental and numerical way. velocity ranges from 155 to 1499 m/s. processes are also simulated with mesoscopic point model material method (MPM). results agree well both residual configuration. Four failure patterns observed for perforated specimens. An empirical formula constructed based on results.
