Evaluation of integrated foundational medical curriculum from Wuhan University: a cross-sectional study based on questionnaires

ABSTRACT
The integrated curriculum was recently introduced to the foundation medical education in Chinese schools. In this context, Wuhan University has offered two courses, ie., Cell, Molecule and Genes (CMG) Tissue Function (TF). purpose of paper is unfold problems design implementation curricula by analyzing these courses explore possible ways improve them. A Likert questionnaire survey conducted on 102 second year students at understand their experiences various aspects curriculum. result showed that believed helped them better contents answer questions case analysis. Students' satisfaction with CMG significantly lower than TF (p < 0.05) a number questions. Especially, 83.3% respondents complained about complexity course. Both contained many topics, but neither well-organized. segmented teaching format easily led disconnections among key points. To fully realize potential benefits an curriculum, team responsible for each course can content delivery developing systematic framework ensure connectivity modules uniform different instructors.
