ABSTRACT
Translation is increasingly recognized as a central control layer of gene expression in eukaryotic cells. The overall organization mRNA and ribosomes within polysomes, well the possible role this translation are poorly understood. Here we show that polysomes primarily formed by three distinct classes ribosome assemblies. We observe these assemblies can be connected naked RNA regions transcript. relative proportions reflect, probably dictate, level translational activity. These results reveal existence recurrent supra-ribosomal building blocks forming suggest presence unexplored controls embedded polysome structure.
