ABSTRACT
We report a facile, rapid, phase-transfer-assisted process to prepare Ag nanoparticles (AgNP) loaded graphene oxide (GO) nanocomposite, by using cysteine as highly-effective phase transfer agent for AgNP movement from organic water and subsequently covalent linkage immobilizing on GO. The obtained c-Ag/GO nanocomposite possesses high nanoparticle loading efficiency, small particle size monodispersity, strong binding force good dispersibility, which endow it with great potential in variety of bio-applications. To illustrate potentail application, its derivatives c-Ag/rGO were used antibiosis biosensing, respectively. composite demonstrates antibacterial activity against E. coli minimal bactericidal concentration 10 μg ml-1. biosensor based exhibits rapid sensitive response uric acid detection limit 0.025 μM, sensitivity 5.76 μA mM-1 wide linear range ∼ 2250 μM. comparative analysis relevant nanocomposites also reveals the precedence these applications, thus highlighting advantages developed preparation method c-Ag/GO.
