ABSTRACT
Abstract An ultra-broadband thin multi-functional and switchable metamaterial is examined in the terahertz (THz) regime. The proposed design achieved high polarization conversion efficiency can be switched from a converter to an absorber using phase change transitioning of vanadium dioxide (VO 2 ). linear 6.0 THz 15.0 THz, achieving bandwidth 9.0 absorption realized 5.0 16.0 with 11.0 THz. These broadband characteristics were by simple incorporating few layers. relative was 85% for 105% absorption. Moreover, angular stability designed structure impressive various incident angles 0° 45°. has potential contribute development tunable rotating devices, on/off switching LPC which have wide application potentials detection, sensing, adaptive optics, communications.
