ABSTRACT
Abstract Herein, a novel composite 54[BaO.TiO 2 ]-46[K O.SiO ], (BTKS) was synthesized via melt-quenching approach for detection of CO gas. The measurements gas sensing were performed in the range 250–1500 ppm. XRD study reveals polycrystalline nature with major and minor phases witherite (BaCO 3 ), BaTiSi O 9 BaTiO . Further, UV-Visible spectroscopy used revealed semiconducting composite. SEM TEM rod-like morphology along homogenous pores voids within composite, attributed excellent behaviour. FTIR Raman spectroscopies executed, revealing bonds formation Si–O–Si, Ti–O–Ti, Si–O–Ti. response at 1000 ppm obtained 3.38 time 19.23s, recovery 21.54s respectively. based portable, cost-effective device might be medical diagnostics to overcome health risks future.
