ABSTRACT
Abstract The performance is presented of the reconstruction and identification algorithms for electrons photons with CMS experiment at LHC. reported results are based on proton-proton collision data collected a center-of-mass energy 13 TeV recorded in 2016–2018, corresponding to an integrated luminosity 136 fb^-1. Results obtained from lead-lead √(s NN )=5.02 also presented. Innovative techniques used reconstruct electron photon signals detector optimize resolution. Events final state measure resolution scale uncertainty events. measured produced Z boson decays ranges 2 5%, depending pseudorapidity loss through bremsstrahlung material. same range energies smaller than 0.1 (0.3)% barrel (endcap) region collisions better 1 (3)% heavy ion collisions. timing full 2016–2018 set be 200 ps.
