ABSTRACT
Background: A significant shortage of palliative care (PC) services exists for American Indian and Alaska Native people (AI/ANs) across the United States. Using an implementation science framework, we interviewed key individuals associated with AI/AN-focused PC programs to explore what is needed develop sustain such programs. Objectives: To identify facilitators barriers sustainability development designed AI/ANs Methods: We 12 responsible services. The Consolidated Framework Implementation Research (CFIR) guided data coding interpretation themes. Results: identified nine themes that map CFIR constructs. Facilitators include high tension change respecting cultural values. Barriers program a lack administrative leadership support. Discussion: should be congruent community needs. developers focus on well before initial implementation.
