ABSTRACT
The cellular immune cell subsets affecting COVID-19 disease severity are being studied by researchers from many countries. current study was carried out to investigate the alteration of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and their in hospitalized patients a tertiary care center Pune, India. PBMCs were isolated enrolled participants, flow cytometry analysis done assess white alterations. lymphocyte naive, effector, central memory, effector memory CD4+ or CD8+ T then evaluated with different categories compared healthy controls. immunophenotypic characterization subset for 139 21 These data based on severity. A total classified as mild (n = 30), moderate 57), severe 52) cases. decreased percentages lymphocytes, CD3+ cells, naive Natural Killer (NK) cytotoxic found, there increase (TEf) SARS-CoV-2 infection has an effect subsets, resulting reduced NK but increased TEf Clinical Trial Registration: CTRI ID-CTRI/2021/03/032028.
