ABSTRACT
Abstract Motivation Knowledge of the 3D structure RNA supports discovering its functions and is crucial for designing drugs modern therapeutic solutions. Thus, much attention devoted to experimental determination computational prediction targeting global fold local substructures. The latter include multi-branched loops—functionally significant elements that highly affect spatial shape entire molecule. Unfortunately, their modeling constitutes a weak point structural bioinformatics. A remedy this in collecting these motifs analyzing features. Results RNAloops self-updating database stores loops identified PDB-deposited structures. description each loop includes angular data—planar Euler angles computed between pairs adjacent helices allow studying mutual arrangement space. system enables search analysis multiloops, presents details numerically visually, computes data statistics.
