ABSTRACT
Spatiotemporal transcriptomic profiling has provided valuable insight into the patterning of gene expression throughout human brain from early fetal development to adulthood. When combined with prior knowledge a disease's age at onset and region-specificity, these profiles have necessary context both strengthen putative gene-disease associations infer new associations. While wealth spatiotemporal data exists, there are currently no tools available visualize this within anatomical brain, thus limiting intuitive interpretation many such findings. We present cerebroViz, an R package map vector graphic diagrams brain. Our tool allows rapid generation publication-quality figures that highlight trends in input data, while striking balance between usability customization. cerebroViz is generalizable any quantifiable brain-regional resolution supports visualization up thirty regions found databases as BrainSpan, GTEx Roadmap Epigenomics.cerebroViz freely through GitHub ( https://github.com/ethanbahl/cerebroViz ).
