ABSTRACT
Global analysis of translation regulation has recently been enabled by the development Ribosome Profiling, or Ribo-seq, technology. This approach provides maps ribosome activity for each expressed gene in a given biological sample. Measurements efficiency are generated when Ribo-seq data is analyzed combination with matched RNA-seq expression profiles. Existing computational methods identifying genes differential across samples based on sound principles, but require users to choose between accuracy and speed. We present Riborex, tool mapping genome-wide differences efficiency. Riborex shares similar mathematical structure existing methods, simplified implementation. directly leverages established frameworks all parameter estimation, providing choice among robust engines these computations. The result method that dramatically faster than available without sacrificing accuracy.https://github.com/smithlabcode/riborex.andrewds@usc.edu.Supplementary at Bioinformatics online.
