ABSTRACT
Olive (Olea europaea), whose importance is mainly due to nutritional and health features, one of the most economically significant oil-producing trees in Mediterranean region. Unfortunately, increasing market demand towards virgin olive oil could often result its adulteration with less expensive oils, which a serious problem for public quality control evaluators oil. Therefore, avoid frauds, cultivar identification authentication have become major issue producers consumers chain. Presently, genetic traceability using SSR cost effective powerful marker technique that can be employed resolve such problems. However, identify an unknown monovarietal cultivar, reference system has necessary. Thus, Genetic Diversity Database (OGDD) (http://www.bioinfo-cbs.org/ogdd/) presented this work. It genetic, morphologic chemical database worldwide tree having double function. In fact, besides being generated unkown or cultivars based on their microsatellite allele size(s), it provides users additional morphological information each identified cultivar. Currently, OGDD designed enable easily retrieve visualize biologically important (SSR markers, characteristics about 200 worldwide) set efficient query interfaces analysis tools. accessed through web service from any modern programming language simple hypertext transfer protocol call. The site implemented java, JavaScript, PHP, HTML Apache all browsers supported. URL: http://www.bioinfo-cbs.org/ogdd/.
