ABSTRACT
Interest in the use of incentives to promote health behavior change has been growing worldwide. However, develop an effective incentive program, accurate information regarding individual preferences is essential. Therefore, aim this study was clarify determinants for change. A self-completed questionnaire survey conducted a Japanese village 2015. The outcome measures were features incentives, including item, frequency, type and value. types defined as follows: assured-type (given participation); effort-type if participants make some kind effort); outcome-type achievements decided priori). associations with respondents' sex, age, presence lifestyle-related disease stage transtheoretical model investigated using multivariate analysis. total 1469 residents responded survey. Significant preference different found monetary items, female elderly; high maintenance stage; effort-type, male, action contemplation outcome-type, stage.
