ABSTRACT
Abstract Pregnancy involves a wide range of adaptations in the maternal body. Maternal immune tolerance toward foreign fetus is critical for successful pregnancy. Decidual macrophages are primary antigen-presenting and phagocytic cells responsible antigen presentation apoptotic cell removal. Their phenotype changes dynamically during Placenta-derived exosomes small vesicles carrying active biological molecules such as microRNAs, proteins, lipids. The placenta-derived have been implicated endothelial activation, smooth muscle migration, T-cell apoptosis, but it unknown whether would affect development functions decidual macrophages. In this study, we reported that stimulated macrophage polarization into alternatively activated (M2) Mechanistically, miRNA-30d-5p from induced to M2 by targeting histone deacetylase 9. Furthermore, conditioned medium exosome–treated promoted trophoblast migration invasion. By contrast, impaired ability tube formation migration. had no impact on proliferation. Together, demonstrated polarize acquire decidua-like modulate functions.
