ABSTRACT
Abstract Studies show the advantage of active versus passive learning formats in delivering complicated concepts (Minocha and Clarke, 2009; Pluta et al., 2013). Hence, interactive teaching tools are not only more often positively evaluated by students but also contribute to better life-long outcomes (Ang 2021). Following this evidence, we created ComPhot, a stand-alone platform for motivated researchers. It guides user studying photosynthesis as well-known biological process with support computational model. ComPhot is no-code, easy-to-use tool lower entry bar starting journey across biology provide insights into how modeling work. This user-friendly can be used individually or teachers following syllabus biology, include concept mathematics, possible field application mathematics biology. introduces explains biochemical background our simulated system translate it mathematical terms. We diverse materials that text, guiding questions, videos, and, most importantly, simulations. Within simulators, users perform their browser simply setting manipulating slider bars. Our comprehensive approach conveys fundamental photosynthesis, photoprotection, fluorescence measurements empowers devise own silico experiments varying light conditions designing synthetic strains. acts stepping stone, fostering engagement understanding while propelling research innovation photosynthesis. Although guide has been written English, proud release four developers’ languages expand audience: German, French, Polish.
