ABSTRACT
Literature has been paying greater attention to the main drivers of academic researchers' engagement with industrial partners. However, there is a lack understanding how perceived outcomes and constraints affect their collaboration firms. The novelty this article its analysis perception benefits, results, barriers associated affects research groups' industry. We use comprehensive database on university–industry from survey researcher groups in Brazil, we time lag analyse number groups. find that intellectual benefits commercial results are important for industry, economic transactional obstacles increase collaborative projects
