Comparing the Use of Three Dendrometers for Measuring Diameters at Breast Height

Abstract Three dendrometers are used to measure dbh. Two of the devices well-known and widely d-tape caliper. The third device is lesser-known sector fork. In this study, measurements dbh were collected from each dendrometer for tree in nine plots, with three plots nested one diameter classes (small, medium, large). results repeated-measures analysis variance show that different dendrometers, interaction between class, plot significantly affected measurements. Statistically significant differences detected most comparisons measured by dendrometers. However, actual mean limits agreement (Bland, J.M., D.G. Altman. 1986.
