ABSTRACT
Botryosphaeriaceae spp. have a cosmopolitan distribution and wide range of plant hosts. Over the last 15 years, worldwide, 21 species this family been associated with grapevine trunk diseases that cause cankers dieback on grapevines. Here, we surveyed vineyards Vitis vinifera ‘Lambrusco’, ‘Sangiovese’, ‘Montepulciano’ in three areas Foggia province (Cerignola, Foggia, San Severo) southern Italy. Wood samples from grapevines showing general decline, dieback, cankers, wood foliar discoloration yielded 344 fungal isolates identified as A phylogenetic study combining internal transcribed spacer translation elongation factor 1-α sequences 60 representative nine botryosphaeriaceous species: Botryosphaeria dothidea, Diplodia corticola, D. mutila, seriata, Dothiorella iberica, Do. sarmentorum, Lasiodiplodia citricola, L. theobromae, Neofusicoccum parvum. Pathogenicity tests confirmed all canker However, is first report citricola causal agent grapevine. To date, including there are 25 V. which 12 reported for
