ABSTRACT
Growth chamber and field studies were conducted with organic amendment mixtures of carbon (C) nitrogen (N) at C:N ratios 10:1, 20:1, 30:1, 40:1 rates C 2, 4, 6, 8 mg/g soil (C:N ratio 30:1) to evaluate anaerobic disinfestation (ASD) effects on germination colonization Sclerotium rolfsii. In the growth chamber, sclerotial was reduced in all ASD treatments regardless (0.6 8.5% germination) or rate (7.5 46%) as compared nonamended controls (21 36% 61 96%, respectively). treatment increased Trichoderma spp. sclerotia, consistently higher 2 4 (>87% colonization) (<50% colonization). 2014 study, by 24 30% when control. Sclerotial predominant; however, other potential mycoparasites (i.e., Aspergillus spp., Fusarium zygomycetes, fungi) present study. Amendment range 10:1 equally effective reducing enhancing potentially beneficial sclerotia.
