ABSTRACT
Family Botryosphaeriaceae and the genus Diaporthe (family Diaporthaceae) represent diverse groups of plant pathogens, which include causal agents leaf spot, shoot blight, branch stem cankers, dieback, pre- postharvest apple fruit decay. Apple with symptoms light to dark brown decay were collected during after harvest from 2016 2018. Thirty selected isolates, on pathogenicity was confirmed, identified characterized based multilocus phylogeny morphology. Five species family two (fam. discovered. The most commonly isolated Diplodia seriata followed by Botryosphaeria dothidea. In this work, rudis is described as a new pathogen fruit. bulgarica, sapinea, Neofusicoccum yunnanense, eres are initially D. sapinea quince medlar pathogens in Serbia. Because known cause other diseases their hosts, have an endophytic nature, wide host range, findings study imply that they may become challenge for successful production.
