ABSTRACT
Glassy cell carcinoma of the uterine cervix is a rare tumor, and has poor prognosis because its aggressive clinical behavior resistance to radiotherapy chemotherapy. We report case bulky glassy that effectively responded paclitaxel carboplatin in neoadjuvant setting. The patient was 30-year-old woman who became aware vaginal bleeding referred our hospital cancerous tumor cervix. Physical examination showed cervical be approximately 8 cm diameter with no involvement parametrium or vagina. biopsy results suggested diagnosis carcinoma. final cervix, stage 1b2. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy administered for downstaging. response rate 67.9% (partial response) under magnetic resonance imaging, elevated serum cancer-related antigen 125 (119 U/ml) squamous cancer (34 ng/ml) were reduced 34 U/ml 3.3 ng/ml, respectively. Following chemotherapy, she underwent radical hysterectomy adjuvant same regimen. course very good. speculate sensitive carboplatin.
