ABSTRACT
Many pregnant women are exposed to radiation either as a patient or an employee. Ignorance of the issues surrounding exposure females is encountered among medical and other professionals, often leading undue concern. The patients has be justified risk/benefit carefully assessed. Diagnostic radiological nuclear medicine procedures do not usually pose increased risk fetus but therapeutic radiotherapy may so. Risks greatest during organogenesis first trimester. Informed consent counseling important. Pregnant working with also need separate consideration careful monitoring. author personal experience this interventional radiologist throughout pregnancy. Education professionals in essential international organizations protection should continue provide support role.
