ABSTRACT
Proliferative lesions of the bone surface, such as subungual (Dupuytren) exostosis and bizarre parosteal osteochondromatous proliferation (BPOP, Nora lesion) are currently classified reactive, proliferative processes that mimic primary neoplasms bone.Cytogenetic analysis was performed on 3 exostoses great toe 2 BPOP radius ulna.A balanced translocation t(X;6) identified in all cases exostoses. The chromosomal rearrangements observed 1 case differed from those seen exostosis. The presence abnormalities suggests these neoplastic, with a different molecular pathogenesis, each is distinct clinicopathologic entity.
