ABSTRACT
Background and aims: Ischemia modified albumin (IMA) is a new marker for ischemic process. asphyxia are important pathogenetic initiator Hypoxic encephalopathy (HIE) but relationship between IMA HIE have not been investigated previously. Methods: Between 2012 2013 newborns hospitalized were prospectively followed in our NICU. was compared control groups. Statistical analysis performed by SPSS v.11.p value < 0.05 considered as significant. IRB approval taken. Results: There 27 with 39 normal newborns. no significant differences respect to demographic factors. However, levels significantly higher patients group (96.28 ± 4.9 vs.80.5 6.9, p<0.0001). Conclusions: could be the diagnosis monitorization HIE. Further studies larger sample size urgently needed.
