ABSTRACT
Perception of spectrally degraded speech is particularly difficult when the signal also distorted along frequency axis. This might be important for post-lingually deafened recipients cochlear implants (CIs), who must adapt to a where there may mismatch between frequencies an input and characteristic neurons stimulated by CI. However, lack tools that can used identify whether individual has adapted fully in frequency-to-place relationship if so, find table ameliorates any negative effects unadapted mismatch. The goal proposed investigation test feasibility real-time selection tables cases which listeners have not assumption underlying this approach will select minimizes such mismatches, even at expense reducing information provided table.
