ABSTRACT
The optimal treatment of osteochondritis dissecans (OCD) the capitellum in adolescent athletes remains challenging. purpose this study was to investigate mid-term results arthroscopic OCD a series adolescents.We identified 25 consecutive patients at our institution that underwent for since 1999. Ten elbows were treated by debridement and drilling alone, whereas 12 required additional mini-arthrotomies bone grafting or removal large loose bodies after arthroscopy. clinical charts operative reports these retrospectively reviewed relevant information including age, sport, character symptoms, preoperative postoperative range motion, return complications. Twenty-one (22 elbows) reached determine their current elbow function athletic activity using Single Assessment Numerical Evaluation score.The average age 13.1 years. All participated organized athletics involved upper extremity had undergone an 10.2 months nonoperative before surgery.
