ABSTRACT
A retrospective analysis was performed. To analyze the characteristics of aneurysmal bone cyst arising from giant cell tumor mobile spine and to discuss outcome corresponding surgical nonsurgical treatment.Giant tumors are generally benign neoplasms that exhibit aggressive behavior with a tendency recur locally. Aneurysmal cysts benign, highly vascular osseous lesions. Although both them have been described separately in previous literatures, few reports secondary spine.Between January 2004 December 2009, 11 patients were identified an spine. Four underwent subtotal resection followed by radiotherapy, other 7 total resection. Patients lesions located below T6 treated selective arterial embolization before surgery. Clinical data efficacy surgery analyzed via chart reviewOf eleven for inclusion this study, average age 33 months (range ∇ 14-65 months). The mean length follow-up 31 months. Seven kept disease-free during follow-ups. remaining four recurred one died local re-recurrence lung metastasis.Unlike primary cyst, has more recurrence Complete systematic radiotherapy should be undertaken treatment spine, which is associated good prognosis control. As complete or as radical operation possible performed at first presentation. best chance patient chance. Selective preoperative advised minimize intraoperative blood loss.
