ABSTRACT
In Brief Purpose: To evaluate the effect of intravitreal triamcinolone acetonide (IVTA) treatment on serous macular detachment in patients with central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO). Methods: Ten eyes 10 CRVO (6 men and 4 women; age range, 54–78 years) made up study population. The eligibility criteria for this included clinically angiographically detectable cystoid edema (CME) which presence was documented by optical coherence tomography (OCT). After IVTA (4 mg/0.1 mL) injection, visual anatomical responses were observed. Results: all eyes, after CME regressed. At 3 months 6 months, had recurred (40%) 5 (50%), respectively. Patients recurrence retreated. No lost vision at 1 month, improvement. no from baseline, 7 (70%) again (60%) maintained improved acuity. Conclusions: Our shows that is effective CRVO. Intravitreal occlusion.
