ABSTRACT
In Brief Purpose: To characterize the topography of macular pucker using coronal plane imaging in vivo, and correlate this with transverse optical coherence tomography (OCT) to assess relationship between topographic features severity disease. Methods: Forty-four eyes underwent full ophthalmologic evaluation including B-scan ultrasonography as well combined OCT/scanning laser ophthalmoscopy (SLO). Results: Posterior vitreous detachment was present 37/44 (84.1%) by ultrasound. Multiple foci retinal contraction were detected 20/44 (45.5%) OCT/SLO. Intraretinal cysts 6/9 (66.7%) three or four centers compared 10/35 (28.6%) one two (P = 0.05). Eyes had significantly 0.05) thicker maculae (369 ± 98 μm) those (297 110 μm). Conclusion: Coronal multifocality nearly half pucker. multiple greater damage centers. Multifocal may have clinical significance that it impact on prognosis management. Optical tomography/scanning revealed multifocal identified increased more contraction.
