ABSTRACT
To clarify the characteristics of choroidal neovascularization (CNV) due to myopic CNV (mCNV) and relation lacquer crack (LC) formation.Thirty-seven eyes with mCNV underwent fluorescein angiography (FA) indocyanine green (ICGA) using Heidelberg Retina Angiograph 2 (HRA2; Heidelberg, Germany). was detected by FA ICGA; LCs were late-phase ICGA.Thirty-five (95%) had classic mCNV, (5%) occult CNV. developed in 35 37 eyes. In 33 (94%), originated from LCs; other small horizontal dotlike LCs, but adjacent area LC. No associated LCs. Two morphologic types observed, linear (21 [62%]) stellate (12 [32%]) which originated, no significant differences parameters between two types. Classic demonstrated well-delineated hyperfluorescence ICGA 10 (29%), significantly correlated absence a dark rim (P = 0.022).ICGA HRA2 provides more detailed information on LC formation is essential for develop. Morphologic variations not different clinically. Late-phase hyperfluorescence, probably pigment epithelium around may represent its activity.
