ABSTRACT
In Brief Purpose: To study the safety and efficacy of Müller muscle-conjunctiva resection (MMCR) for blepharoptosis in patients with functional glaucoma-filtering blebs. Methods: Retrospective chart review who underwent MMCR presence a functioning filtering bleb. Patients offered all responded satisfactorily to preoperative topical phenylephrine hydrochloride testing. Using similar technique, was performed by 6 surgeons at different centers. Two had simultaneous upper blepharoplasty. Postoperative slit lamp examination assess bleb injury or infection. addition, routine glaucoma follow-up visits functioning. Results: Nine blebs tolerated well no complications. All remained after surgery. One patient anterior chamber reaction 10 days another foreign body sensation weeks.
