ABSTRACT
A 50-year-old woman presented with a mass lesion of the inferolateral palpebral conjunctiva similar in appearance to chalazion, but unusual enough presentation that excisional biopsy was initially performed. Histopathologic analysis revealed dermal fibrohistiocytic neoplasm consistent cellular neurothekeoma. Neurothekeoma is benign tumor; variant rare and unclear histogenesis. Completely internal eyelid location particularly rare, other identifiable case reports neurothekeoma palpebrae referring external or unspecified location. This provides an example chalazion as masquerader re-emphasizes importance maintaining broad differential diagnosis high index suspicion regarding atypically appearing chalazia.
