ABSTRACT
Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the potential perfusion computed tomography (CTp) for monitoring induction chemotherapy in patients with squamous cell carcinoma (SCCA) upper aerodigestive tract. Materials and Methods: Twenty-five advanced SCCA underwent CTp volumetric CT before after chemotherapy. Perfusion parameters were calculated tumor, normal tissue, muscles correlated tumor volume. Results: blood flow (BF), volume (BV), permeability surface significantly higher, mean transit time lower than tissue. BF BV decreased, increased therapy; decrease reduction baseline nonresponders compared that responders. Conclusions: In SCCA, showed chemotherapy, may predict response
