ABSTRACT
Ultrasound has demonstrated to be a highly sensitive tool in the evaluation of entheses spondyloarthropathy (SpA) patients and improves ability clinical examination detect enthesopathy. The objectives study were determine prevalence subclinical enthesopathy SpA evaluate reliability ultrasound detection abnormal findings indicative enthesopathy.Six hundred lower-limb assessed 60 without known history entheseal involvement. Sixty rheumatoid arthritis 30 control subjects included as groups. Clinical consecutively performed at each signs enthesopathy. Images from 20 stored afterward evaluated findings.Ultrasound detected high with respect both (P < 0.001 for comparisons). In patients, 56 (9.3%) 600 entheses. remainder 544 clinically asymptomatic (90.7%) (not painful not swollen), 331 (60.8%) least 1 sign The intrareader interreader agreement all was good excellent. The present demonstrates higher sensitivity physical an adequate reliability. Further is needed about prognostic value predicting onset
