ABSTRACT
The gluteal fold V-Y advancement flap is a good option for the reconstruction of vulvovaginal defect because it thin, sensate, reliable, and has matched local skin quality. However, in situations where wider deeper needed, alone may not be sufficient to create tension-free closure. To overcome these limitations, we designed modified flap, which 1 or 2 additional transposition flaps at base conventional flap. This study includes total number 16 patients who had received with our new technique between March 2008 April 2011. causes defects were vulvar cancer 13 extramammary Paget disease 3 patients. We examined location size defect, design, postoperative clinical courses. mean follow-up period was 10.6 months, sizes ranged from 8 × 6 15 12 cm. Overall, 11 reconstructed bilateral flaps, 5 treated unilateral flap. All survived without major complications, aesthetic functional results satisfactory. useful reliable wide deep defects. It can cover tension, complications associated are rare.
