ABSTRACT
Background Various kinds of grafts, such as autogenous bone grafts and alloplastic materials, can be used for the reconstruction calvarial defects. The selection optimum material repair cranial defects is greatest problem in For some complex defects, simple use or materials makes functional cosmetic difficult to achieve. Therefore, current study uses a new method Methods Eight patients with underwent cranioplasty porous polyethylene combined split graft. Follow-up visits were conducted 6 72 months monitor patients. Results Significant improvements contour skulls well aesthetic appearance all observed. Moreover, no serious complications, infections, exposure, removal implants, implant abnormalities, Three cases displayed transient extradural seroma collection, which was resolved through drainage compression bandaging.
