ABSTRACT
To clarify the value of resection gallbladder cancer involving extrahepatic bile duct.: Several recent studies have proven that jaundice and biliary involvement are independent predictors a poor outcome. Only few authors recommend such advanced disease. One hundred patients with pT3/4, pN0/1, M0 disease were subjects this study. Mortality long-term outcome analyzed using prospectively collected database. The only factor associated mortality in univariate multivariate analyses was intraoperative blood loss. The 5-year survival rate median time 23% 1.5 years for pathologic invasion (pEBI), 54% 15.4 without pEBI. Twelve pEBI survived beyond 5 years. Multivariate analysis revealed R1/2 combined adjacent organs other than liver duct (CRAO) Five-year after R0 CRAO 36% 3.8 even In contrast, 16% 0.8 years, respectively.Patients candidates when distant metastases absent is achievable. When unnecessary, surgical should be aggressively planned.
