The Effects of LigaSure on the Laparoscopic Management of Acute Appendicitis

A very important step in laparoscopic appendectomy is dissection of the appendiceal mesenteric pedicle. The aim this study was to investigate effect LigaSure appendectomy. Between August 2007 and June 2008, a total 32 patients were included study. Patients randomized into 2 groups. first group's mesoappendix performed with (5 10 mm), whereas second endodissector endoclip. surgical time, postoperative complications, additional analgesics use hospital stay compared. There no significant differences complication rates, between operation time (49.06±14.73 min vs. 59.69±12.54 min, P=0.036) significantly lower group. This demonstrates that reduces could be used safely. However, more experiences are needed attain reliable scientific results.
