ABSTRACT
In Brief Objective Anatomic differences among racial groups may contribute to observed in the occurrence of severe perineal lacerations at time vaginal delivery. The purpose this study was identify body length between groups. Methods Perineal measured primigravid women aged 18 45 years who were admitted labor. Women classified into 1 6 groups: White, Filipino, Japanese, Chinese, Native Hawaiian, or Micronesian. primary outcome, length, compared using analysis variance. Results A total 200 recruited. There no significant (P = 0.42) and 0.82) different mean (SD) had a laceration 3.9 (0.5) versus (0.6) cm did not have (P= 0.98). Conclusion does seem differ studied therefore an unlikely cause variation rates lacerations.
