ABSTRACT
It is unclear if new costimulatory blockade agents, such as the cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated antigen 4-Ig molecule belatacept (BEL), promote or inhibit potential for immunologic tolerance in transplantation. We therefore tested vitro effects of BEL on human regulatory cells (Tregs) mixed lymphocyte reactions (MLR) alone and combination with maintenance agents used transplant recipients.
