ABSTRACT
Objective: It is relatively rare that chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH) occurs in young people. The aim of this study was to investigate how often an arachnoid cyst (AC) associated with CSDH patients by collecting and analyzing cases In addition, we would discuss the association between AC CSDH, which supposed help diagnosis treatment AC. Methods Materials: This collected 45 consecutive patient head injury our hospital from February 2009 December 2011. Five were diagnosed as performing either a computed tomography scan or magnetic resonance imaging. During their hospital, performed burr hole irrigation evacuate hematoma, leaving intact. Results: For people, showed among 11.1% AC, all located middle cranial fossa. Those 5 ACs had mild trauma history, they admitted complaints headache, vomit, and/or dizziness. After evacuation irrigation, cured. Conclusions: Among many them are indicates risk factor for CSDH. Most presented symptoms increased intracranial pressure, cured without fenestration so reduce surgical risk.
