ABSTRACT
The recent detection of charge-density modulations in YBa2Cu3Oy and other cuprate superconductors raises new questions about the normal state underdoped cuprates. In one class theories, are intertwined with pairing a dual state, expected to persist up high magnetic fields as vortex liquid. support such specific heat magnetisation data on have been interpreted terms liquid persisting above vortex-melting field Hvs at T = 0. Here we report high-field measurements electrical thermal Hall conductivities YBa2Cu3O6.54 that allow us probe Wiedemann-Franz law, sensitive test presence superconductivity metal. 0 limit, find law is satisfied for immediately Hvs. This rules out existence it places strict constraints nature
