ABSTRACT
An exclusive study of the interaction 1A GeV Au with C shows a separability into two stages: prompt stage involving emission most $Z\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}1$ and some $Z\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}2$ particles second decay an equilibrated remnant, which typically undergoes multifragmentation. The mean mass, charge, excitation energy, initial temperature ${T}_{i}$ remnant have been determined as function total charge multiplicity, $m$, has freeze-out ${T}_{f}$. Both ${T}_{f}$ increase linearly $m$ their values at critical point determined. rises monotonically energy expected for continuous phase transition.
