ABSTRACT
By combining pairs of ferromagnetic metals with the same or different signs scattering anisotropies in ferromagnetic-nonmagnetic-ferromagnetic metal nanopillars, we independently invert just magnetoresistance, direction current-induced magnetization switching, both together, at room temperature (295 K) and 4.2 K. In all cases studied, switching is correctly predicted from net anisotropy fixed ferromagnet, including bulk interfacial contributions.
