ABSTRACT
Abstract The plastid genome of higher plants is transcribed by two different types RNA polymerases named nucleus encoded polymerase (NEP) and polymerase. Plastid a multimeric enzyme comparable to eubacterial polymerases. NEP enzymes represent small family monomeric phage-type Dicotyledonous harbor three enzymes, RPOTm, RPOTp, RPOTmp. RPOTm exclusively targeted mitochondria, RPOTp plastids, RPOTmp plastids as well mitochondria. In this article, we have made use T-DNA insertion mutants answer the question whether both plastid-located overlapping or specific functions in transcription. To aim, analyzed accD rpoB messenger RNAs (mRNA; from type I promoters), clpP mRNA (transcribed −59 II promoter), 16S rRNA exceptional PC promoter) primer extension. Results suggest that represents principal for transcribing NEP-controlled genes during early plant development, while transcribes specifically rrn operon promoter seed imbibition.
