Fast I-frame searching algorithm of MPEG video stream

This paper proposes a fast I-frame searching algorithm based on an analysis of statistical characteristics of MPEG video stream. Computer simulations confirm that the proposed algorithm outperforms existing algorithms, which ensures the searching quality with a low computational complexity.
