ABSTRACT
PCB-embedded coil realization is particularly suitable for ultrafast current sensing, due to its di/dt detecting principle and ease of integration into power converters. In one possible implementation, a Rogowski sensor utilized measure switching currents, since there no theoretical limit coil's magnetic saturation. There are, however, some challenges associated with existing EMI emission, dV/dt coupling, bandwidth difference that often complicate the design circuits choice appropriate electronic components. A number solutions have been proposed overcome those issues, including shielding, differential-coil/integrator type circuitry, as well ground decoupling. The sensing coil, limited by such shielding. purpose this paper provide practical considerations in respect termination, integrator types, compensation methods, layout guidelines development shield-less switch-current sensors are capable delivering an extremely accurate clean signal, where they expected higher accuracy faster response time than solutions. will also discuss effects parasitic elements on sensor's accuracy. order validate prototypes, node experiments conducted using SiC module.
