ABSTRACT
The Dual Excitation Synchronous Generator (DESG) has two sets of field windings that can be independently excitation regulated, thus better stability and reliability than the Traditional (TSG). However, special structure mode DESG result in transient parameters are very different from those TSG. Therefore, calculation method TSG is not applicable to calculate DESG. In this paper, a Time-Stepping Finite Element Model (T-S FEM) established study impact on parameters. under saturation states calculated by improved frequency domain frozen permeability method, results these methods compared. differences between TSG, as well influence analyzed. provide theoretical basis for accurate simulation
