ABSTRACT
Link quality estimation is a thorny problem in wireless sensor networks, because its accuracy affects the design and efficiency of networking protocols applications. Especially context low-power wireless, estimating link poses sort catch-22 dilemma, whereby large number packet samples are required to accurately estimate channel, but only few should be used due limited energy resources. This paradox becomes even more severe mobile since high variability medium imposes stricter constraints on timing which has carried out. In this paper we propose Triangle Metric, metric that combines geometrically information PRR, LQI, SNR into robust estimator guarantees fast reliable assessment quality. Our evaluation shows triangle can identify links using as 10 samples, making it an eligible solution for highly networks.
